Hiya, fellow boarders :)

Im very pleased with my installation of mandrake 8.1 on my laptop.. however, i find the sound volume a little too low!
i've already pushed the volume buttons of the laptop to the max.. and it still sounds very low...
the machine is a toshiba satellite 1750,btw

where can i increase the volume?

Thanks! :D

There should be a sound mixer that you can pull up from the menu somewhere. Look under multimedia I think (haven't used Mandrake in a while).

run kmix, it will dock a sound volume applet to your taskbar,,,,or go to KDE/Multimedia/Sound/Sound Mixer in the menu and change all the volumes from there.

hope that helps.
