Mandrake 8 Beta 3 - do I need CD2?

I look on their site and in the READMEs, but I couldn't find out what CD2 does. Is it needed or is it just source and extra apps?

Yeah typically, Mandrake puts extra apps on CD2...you don't NEED it, but I'm not sure whether or not your install will go smoothly without it. Unless you're willing to do some package deselection (and a lot of it), it's best to have cd2.
