opening a flash file

well, i'm able to go to a site like newgrounds.com and view those flash movies, but any saved on my harddrive can't be opened. so, as long as i open a .html file that calls the flash movie, and not the .swf movie itself it works.

Does anyone know how i can get it that i can open the movie directly and get it to work? I've tried this with konqueror and mozilla.
