I have Windows XP Pro Corp. Ed. installed on my D: drive (hd1) and Red Hat 9 installed on my C drive (hd0). I installed Win XP first and it booted no problem. I then installed Red Hat and it booted no problem. However, I cant access the Windows partition from Grub. It lists red hat and a 'DOS' partition. The DOS one comes up as:
rootnoverify (hd1,0)
chainloader +1
This seems to be the normal listing for Xp loading, but I think due to mine being on the D drive and not the C drive (where the MRB is located I think) it doesnt want to load XP.
Ive tried a couple different grub configs with map (hd0,0) (hd1, 0) and so on, but if you havent guessed, Im still a little new to linux.
Any ideas on how to fix grub to access a NTFS formatted Windows XP Pro partition on the D drive with Red Hat 9 on the C drive?
Thanks in advance,
Kirk Warren
