I installed RH 7.1 to set up a webserver and I got everything up and running just fine, that is until I went to add a new user. so i go to shell and type "linuxconf" and it tells me it doens't know what i'm tlaking about, so I go okay, first things first, "useradd www", once again it says "hahahaha you fool, you can't use that command"

has anyone else had this problem. I was doing it through gnome, is that the error of my way?

I've heard you need in install linuxconf off the ?? 2nd cd and also the linuxconf gui component if you like.

Try using

/sbin/linuxconf if logged in as root
or
/usr/bin/linuxconf-auth if logged in as normal user.

Hope this helps

Yep, you'll need to install it. It isn't installed by default when installing version 7.1. You can also choose to have it installed during the initial install of Red Hat 7.1.
