I just started using mozilla, and so far so good. one thing that I don't like however is that there are appenrently two "rows" (can't think of a better way of describing them) of information bars at the bottom of the window. They contain the launchers for mozilla as well as the lock icon and the loading status of the page. It seems like this information could be combined into one row/bar and leave more room in the window to show the actual page you are viewing. Does anyone know if this can be done, or do I just have to put up with it?

this isn't an answer to your question, but it may be in your best interest to check out Galeon. It's a slim browser that uses the mozilla html processing engine, but has its own smaller, faster, (imo) more efficient gui.

galeon.sourceforge.net

At least check it out, it's amazing.
