Does anyone know of any cross platform point of sale software? I have quicken point of sale 3.0 but it looks like a kindergardener made the gui. However, I can not say too much since I have not tried it. If it is the right tool for the job then great. Any comments or reviews on quicken pos 3.0? Is there any alternatives? I looked at php point of sale and it does not look too impressive either. Any input from the linux business community would be great. I am looking to open up a small grocery store.

Thanks

I'm planning a J2EE POS implementation based loosely on DinerWare (http://www.dinerware.com). I don't think that helps you now does it?

:( no it does not help me too much now for pos in development. Any other people out there us quickbooks pos? Like / dislikes? One thing I notice is there is like huge price gouging for quickbook material. Even the hardware. While I certainly can understand making a profit these prices are insane.
