Really Weird Drake 7.2 X problem. Help

Got a really weird problem. Installed Mandrake 7.2, when I boot Linux from Grub, it boots fine until it starts x, then the screen goes black and I get no video. Also ctrl, alt, F1,2,3 don't work either.
If I boot Failsafe, it boots fine and starts x fine.
What can I do, other than contiuing to boot Failsafe?

Go to a console (Alt-Ctrl-F1) login as root and execute

XFdrake

to reconfigure your X server. :cool:
