i hope that things have ben going well for you. the prob that i had ben havN all these months was really simple...."cannot get a corrupt frag of LILO off 7oomg hd compaq!!!" i think i tried Ranish and other things via D: to get this thing out! well as it turned out it was really the ole bios and probably mobo (ole compaq 486 prolinea) as it turned out a aaahh standard bootdisk with fdisk/format got it out!!!!!! the mobo\bios did not want to see cdrom(D :) and A: at the same time. mchine LOCKed at boot. when A: disabled, bootup. hence i couldnt use std fdisk/format. i finally and simply(months later) removed D: reenabling A: . things are almost fine now :-) with the exception of a toggling and reseting of year 2001 date each time i boot up? :-) well u cant win them all. maybe a newer 486 mobo?
