This message has poped up twice now in the last week and I have no idea what it means and need some help finding out what the cause it....a security problem ??

The w command shows only 1 user logged into my Mandrake 8.1 system.

SECURITY ALERT: TMPDIR problem on host
'localhost.localdomain': The TMPDIR defence scriptis no longer protecting TMPDIR on your localhost.localdomain'. This is alright if you are logging out of 'localhost.localdomain', otherwise you should restart the defense script or log out and back in.

This meggagebox just poped up in KDE 2 times while the system was sitting idel.

Is this somthing I outta be concerned about ?

Thanks for any info !
Willy

I would recommend making a search on google for this. What distribution are you running by the way? Usually the only defense /tmp has is:

1. It's on it's own partition.
2. It's sticky: chmod 1777 /tmp
