Questions:

1) i have RH 9 so does that mean i have to download KDE 3.1 or does it come with the linux version i have?

2) when i go to windows exlporer all the folders look like icons i hate it. then i do View/AsList but it only makes it look like a list for that particular folder all the other directories still look like icons. is there a way to make all my directories look like lists?

3) i changed my terminal so the back is transparent so it looks like the pic i posted but how did he change the Menu/programs to look green and transparent? and the bar on the top how did he turn that green?

thanks for any tips

The menu is the KDE transparent menu, a KDE special :)

By default Red Hat does not install KDE (Gnome only) but it is available on the install CDs. You can go to the Install Additional Hardware in the menu and select KDE under Desktops.

The coloring is just a simple theme...get KDE installed first ;)

honestly, if you can - use a different distro - red hat messes with KDE a _lot_ to make gnome and KDE integrate...

try mandrake or suse - they are KDE default distros.

also take a look on kde-look.org for excellent KDE themes.
