Why is this site covered in adverts saying how ****e linux is compared to windows?
(And I thought yanks had no sense of irony!)

No, we have no irony, we leave that up to you Brits.

Regardless, as part of a large company of technical Web sites on a variety of topics, we do share non-targeted advertising banners from time to time. Hence, the occasional MS or other proprietary software ad.

It's weird, but I look at it this way: where else can you see MS (albeit indirectly) supporting the Linux cause?

Oh, wait, that's irony, isn't it?
