Gui wont load No Screens FOund HEllllllllP

He, Iam New to Linux but I figure out that if I type startx your gui loads well... On my text command prompt it blinks every second then stops then blinks again... I try to start my guiby using startx and it says

Fatal Error Found: no screens found

If anyone knows how to fix this please help- iam realy new so i needs commands if somethin i have go in to fix..

In Rehdat, the video configuration utility is Xconfigurator (case-sensitive). Run it to see if you can change your video settings to something that works. You should also read through your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file to see if the information listed in the "Monitors" and "Screens" sections is correct for your hardware.

the same thing happend to me when i first started with RH7.1.
The problem i found to be caused by poor thinking on my part. I took out the local.localdoamin from my net config
and then the x server had to rely on proper resolve of DNS to run the gui well hell broke loose when i turned the router off.
I watched the gui freeze then start blinking
when it stoped for 1 min i was able to command line to the host config files and reenter what I needed to get the server back up. Latter i read that the xfs server needs that local loopback to really run proper unless i wanted to trust my third party dns to be running allthe time.

no screens found means that you have not, or incorrectly, specified the resolution for your monitor and video card...edit the XF86Config file and put in the proper resolution under the screens section. check out the X configuration NHF for a step by step guide.

I tryed to look at my Xconfig-4 and it says Permisson Denined and iam log in to root : /
