blackbox and kde

I have redhat 7.2 and I boot directly to the console. Anyways I need to know how I can boot to blackbox or kde with out editing files each time.

not sure, never tried it, but it seems logic to me :)

nope it just starts up and goes back to console. i use just startx to boot to kde. I'm sure i'm not the only one whose ever tried this. Its probably somethign simple too. Anyone know???

Use switchdesk. To boot to blackbox use "startx /path/to/blackbox". Find out with "whereis blackbox"... probably /usr/local/bin/blackbox. You edit your ~/.xinitrc file to show "exec blackbox" to start blackbox permanently
