I am completely new to linux and i decided to try linux out. After installing linux, i can't get the sound working. I have been looking for the drivers of my sound card and i can't find any that will work. I am running Red Hat 9.0 on a Gateway M675X laptop. The sound card in it is a Sigmatel Soft Audio 6-channel AC97 revision 2.3 codec (STAC9758). I'm not sure where i can find drivers for this sound card. Any help will be appreciated?

Here is a link of the specs on my laptop if that helps anyone.

Thanks for your help in advanced.

From the SigMatel site:
SigmaTel’s host audio driver is available to OEM designers. Users interested in obtaining SigmaTel’s Linux host audio driver must contact the motherboard manufacturer of their system. SigmaTel currently offers testing services for WHQL and Red Hat certification to its OEMs. Interested motherboard developers should contact SigmaTel at mailto: audioquality@sigmatel.com for further information.
Also, search Google for "sigmatel audio linux" and there are a bunch of postings.
