I have d/l the correct drivers from Mandrake, and followed the instructions to a tee (many times). The rpms install OK and everything seems OK. The Mesa demos run really fast (a bad sign in my past experience w/8.0), but Quake III is really weirded out with heavily corrupted textures. Nvcheck tells me that the "kernel device /dev/nvidia1 does not exist/has wrong permissions. In /dev all I have is nvidia0, which is a character device. Help please. :confused:
