sending mail

I am a grad student and I have insti telnet a/c. I am learning linux and I am using Red hat linux 7.1. Box is with P-III/800Mhz,128 MB RAM,30GB hard disk (15 GB linux+ 15 GB win 2k). I have installed rhl work station. I am able to telnet my comp from other machines and I can send mails to my insti a/c.But I am unable to send mail from insti a/c to my comp.It simply says that there is no machine like that.

What shall I have to do to configure my box so that it gets mail from my insti a/c.

Does your machine have it's own IP and domain name?

Thanx for your reply. :p .Ofcourse,it has it's own static ip as well as domain name.I am in our insti LAN.We have servers.
