server side graphing

i was doing a project at school for a computer science course and one of the outputs is a graph but java is not an option for our purposes.

i was wondering if there are any suggestions for an easy server side graphing solution thats flexible.

I know there are some Perl graphing scripts available... I just can't remember what any of them are called. :o
