I can't install right

I go to install things on my new caldera2.4 install and it brings up that it can't find certian files (libraries)... I've installed these things before... with the same packages but lately it hasn't been working. I've reinstalled the files it says arn't there and somethings install with them and some still don't recognize them... I've even update the files it said were too old and when installing them i was given to error.

I have used caldera2.4 for a while... and this was a fresh install... and normally these files have installed in the past.

There is a command to update/refresh the rpm database although I cannot think of it right now. 'man rpm' should give you the command.
