OK, well, I am having problems when starting up my system. Everything goes fine till I get to smartd which fails to load without a hang or anything, but then when I get to loading sendmail, then the system hangs for ages... but manages to load it OK after a VERY long wait. I also have this problem with sm-client.

Now, I check my localhost sytem mail ( if htat is what I should call ) with the mail command, and see that Sendmail has the following error:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
**Unmatched Entries**
My unqualified host name (frozenmist) unkown; sleeping for retry: 7 Time(s) unable to qualify my own domain name (frozenmist) -- using short name: 7 Times(s)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

now, I did edit my /etc/hosts and it reads as follows:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
127.0.0.1 localhost localhost.localdomain
192.168.1.31 frozenmist
192.168.1.193 main family pilling
192.168.1.5 jill
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Any ideas on why the system hangs at startup? It does load after a little while of waiting... and works fine. My system specs are as follows:

PIII
Fedora Core 1
2.4.22-115.nptlsmp ( dual processor kernel branch)
My system was working fine when I first installed Fedora Core. Any ideas???
THanx in advance.
