I had to install RPM version 4 on my RedHat 6.1 box in order to install a package that had only been built for this version of RPM. Now I can't seem to to rpm --build (or --rebuild) myrpm.src.rpm
What gives?? I looked through the --help output and don't see an option which lets me build an installable RPM from a src.rpm file.
Any help for my clueless self is much appreciated.

thanks,

Kid

It's --rebuild. What happens when you try it?

I am at work now so can't try that. But as I recall it just spits out the --help output when I use the --rebuild switch. I guess the new RPM (ver 4?) may have different levels of use and I may need to install some kind of developers version. I will try again tonight.

Thanks,
Kid
