I thought if a company sold a distribution of Linux they have to offer it free too. Does Libranet offer it free? I can't find where they do IF they do. Do they not have to because its debian-based or what? Sorry for the questions, thanks. :(

Hrmmm...that's odd...I would have thought that at least a trial might be available.
Linux doesn't have to be free. If you consider a distro to be a service (eg a collection of software all in one place), you can still charge for it. That's why SuSE can charge 60 bucks for their personal edition. You can't charge people for the kernel, and you can't charge them for the free software, but you can charge them for service fee, and CD.
Have a look see. (http://www.libranet.com/download.html)

I don't know anything about Libranet, but the only thing they're required to give you are the sources.
[Edit:] Actually, they aren't required to give you anything. But the sources have to be accessable to those with the binaries.

Hey, spend the $15 and support them!
Also, they offer their older version for free. Latest and greatest is $15 to download. Seems fair to me. Wish Suse would do that.
:( I'm to cheap to buy it, actually I really don't have $15 bucks to spend, lol. I think i'm gonna download it then run aptget update. thanks for the download link.
