I have telneted in(is that a word?) anyway I telnet in and type "top" so I can see my system status. What "processes" are going on and why are 93 of them sleeping? Every once in a while I see a zombie, whats a zombie doing on my raq? If you know what I'm talking about, please let me know what I'm talking about. Thanx

First off - 93 processes. That's a hell of a lot. You may want to check up what you are starting/running. Shut some stuff down. (Daemon control is always a good thing.)
Secondly, zombie processes are not a bad thing. Zombies take up very little resource because they are dead processes. The only reason they stick around is so a parent process will know that the zombie process has exited. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
As I said before...93 processes...damn...

P.S. Forgot to mention - chances are, more processes than not will be sleeping. Very few of the processes that you run will be needed all of the time. When they are sleeping, they really aren't using that much up in the terms of system resources, so, it's not much of a worry.
