I just installed Red hat 7, and I installed all the services that are needed to run a web server, and DNS server so the options says. For some reason when I start up the service, it tells me that DNS did not load its configuration file. Can anyone help me out to start up my DNS server on my box?

Is there a DNS config program available? Is there an option to configure such as <commandname> --configure? If a program can't find its config file, there's usually something else that must be done.

well i Installed Bind, that comes with redhat 7, and when i do a status on Named which is running in the etc/rc.d/init.d/ folder it says that it didnt load the config file. That is what i dont know.. where is the config file, and why isnt it loading?

Did you read the Bind documentation? Mine I believe is in /usr/doc. Should tell you what is needed to configure.

I looked into that, my computer doesnt have a doc folder inside usr. I have the usr folder, but no doc folder. anything else you might think of?
