microsoft, .NET and other OS's

Hi all,

I remember reading an article that microsoft was going to make an announcement about .NET and porting it to other OSes today. It looks to be a really cool concept for inter-platform communication....If anyone sees any info on this, could they post a link up to that site here?

looks to be an idea right now, but .NET is the future according to microsoft...should be interesting to watch it develop...
