What's a good one that will work with RH7.2?

FireBurner is apparently out, as it won't see my drive (even though the Windows version of FB does just fine) and it looks like it will only burn mp3 files anyway?

Any other suggestions?

(BTW I'm sure this has been asked before, and sorry, but the search seems to be broken as par usual)

Depends on what you burn.
ISO's and copies=eroaster, gtoaster, gcombust, Xcdroast
backing up files=kreatecd, gtoaster

Gnome Toaster looks like a good bet, although you have to install like a billion other subprograms under it... Maybe I'll give that a shot this week when I have time to mess with it...

As someone pointed out to me when I asked this question, you could always just use the cdrecord command. It's actually pretty easy, just read the man file for it "man cdrecord"
I've found that it works quite well. I prefer that to a graphical frontend now anyway...

I'm using Xcdroast with Mandrake 8.2 on a Plextor PX-W8432T EIDE burner and have had great success.

Gnometoaster doesn't need tons of other programs. Just go to rpmfind.net or whatever, and get an RPM for your distro. Install, read the manual, configure it - away you go.

data: dd or mkisofs, and cdrecord.
audio: cdrdao

I like the speed of not having to fool with a graphical frontend...

Well, it appears now that I've got gtoaster loaded that linux doesn't like my drive -
It detects it during boot as /dev/cdrom1 -
But if I try to mount a non-blank CD it it it comes back with "no medium found."

gtoaster/cdrecorder gives me a huge screen of errors that appear to mean that it can't find a SCSI drive of some sort.

OK update... using this page (http://www.nber.org/cdrecord.html) I got the ide-scsi tranlation set up that I didn't even know I needed to have, and I no longer get the "can find scsi drive" errors - also discovered that my burner doesn't like to play well with others - I had to give it it's own IDE bus and cdrecord can see it and Nero under windows is now much less tempermental (and here I thought it was just Nero being a piece of crap). I've had good luck with BurnCenter, and have done some successful burns - but gtoaster at this point can be renamed gCoaster - cuz that's all it makes. I've burned 2 cds with it so far, the first one said it worked, and then couldn't be read, and the second one locked up gtoaster at about 80% through the burn.
Someone else just suggested gcombust on IRC.. maybe I'll check that one out too later...
