crx225e in suse 8.2

I cannot get my sony crx225e to work in my suse 8.2 partition
I am using xcdroast, can anyone help me out

Is that a IDE cdwriter? Do you have scsi emulation enabled? hd?=ide-scsi in your bootloader config?

What does

cdrecord -scanbus

show?

Checked out any of the other cdwriter/cdrecord etc. previous threads as I noticed one yesterday on a similar problem.

well I went to 9.0 pro,so I will have to reconfigure and replace that post.

I have the same 9.0 Pro and my IDE cdwriter was correctly detected and configured (with scsi emulation) during the installation. I only had to configure XCDRoast and K3b a bit.
