Dual boot XP and Mandrake 8.1? Partition disappeard

I recently had winxp in ntfs on an 8 gig drive. No partition. I loaded Linux on not knowing what I was doing. It made winxp disappear and so did the partition I put linux in...2gigs. I can't find how to run the diskdrake and my win based fdisk shows there being an extended partition with a logical dos drive that can't be removed. I would really like a little help as I've little idea how to go about getting back the space on my drive.

Find your mandrake installation CD. Try doing a "reinstall" again, except this time when you get to diskdrake, you should be able to see and use the partition.

Depending on what you want to do, you can either reinstall drake, or just delete the partition, so that win fdisk can recognixe it again.
