does any one else find the cursor in linux to be WAY too undersensitive? in windows, one only need move the mouse one and one half of an inch to go from one side of the screen to the other. in linux, that number is almost doubled. this just drives me nuts!

is there any way of adjusting the sensitivity of the mouse so that minute movements of the apratus itself will equal large movements on screen?

Some distros or maybe all have mouse speed setting so you can increase its speed. Since I'm using Mandrake the way I get to it might not be the same way but anyways I just go to mandrake control click hardware the mouse then advance and change it from 2x to maybe 4x Somewhere in your distro there should be a place to config you hardware

There should be pointer accelleration settings somewhere in your desktop environment's config tools. For KDE, the tweaks are in Control Center->Peripherals->Mouse->Advanced.
