Hello,
The problem is when I try to put a CD it dosent ever now it is in my CD-ROM, I have an CD-Writer and DVD/CD-ROM and I tired the audio CD in both and it dosent work in the CD Player, I also tried to click the little CD-ROM icon on desktop and it said this when I have my CD in the drive and out of the drive:
Error:
file:/mnt/cdrom
You do not have access rights to this location.
It gives me the same message for the Floppy drive too. I have Mandrake 7.2 also. I think it reconginzes my CD-ROM and Floppy too, I thought I saw the thing when it starts up and says it does... But then again not sure. I have heard something about you have to put the CD in then mount it? What does that mean? If someones knows what I'm doing wrong please tell me.
Thanks for you time.

If this is a fresh install of Mandrake 7.2, look here; http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/demos/Tutorial/CDburner/
Hope this helps, ;)

Thanks for the Link :) I will do that as soon as possible... How would I do it for the Floppy drive though?

Make sure your username is added to the list in the read/write group in /etc/group for floppy and cdrom.
