Ok, I've been using Slackware 9.0 for awhile, with KDE. I just switched to Fluxbox, at first I was using 0.1.14, but I didn't like how it handled the tabs, so I switched to 0.9.7, the beta. 0.1.14 was fine, but in 0.9.7 the volume is very low. I don't know how to change it. I've always just used xmms, and that adjusted the system volume, but now it's at 90%, where it's always been, and its low. Is there something I can do in a terminal?

I've never used Fluxbox, but if its still run on op of KDE, you should still have access to KMix...
IDK...try kmix in a console and see of the system mixer comes up. Also, if XMMS is at 90%, and its still low, chances are that PCM(? The wave volume) is at 90%, while the master volume is somewhere else lower.

You might also have a program called aumix in there somewhere. It's my favorite for volume control.

You can also install rexima and just modify the volume through the command line. Something like rexima vol 80 I believe. Anyway, the point is there are quite a lot of mixers available for you to download. Head over to freshmeat.net and pick one you like.

Fast replys, thanks.
KMix worked, I just had to run it through the consol.
I feel so dumb asking such a question, but I just never bothered to learn how to adjust the volume in Linux, it was always fine.
Anyway thanks.
