I made this in Hardware because thats what q1 pertains to (and I figured that it would be the most important:
I am running an HP Pavilion ze5375us series that comes with a conexant ACLINK modem...now I tried downloading the rpm file and im gonna install that as soon as I go to bed ^_^ hopefully it will work, otherwise, here's the question:
I loaded my RH9 in, and it works just fine, except that I have to mess around in the installation in order to get it to boot...
but I have no Internet access...I tried ttaS2 (which corresponds to DOS COM 3, i should think it said) for the modem but it gets nowhere... If the above method doesn't work, what is some advice?
2) What would be the way to go about disabling the kudzu module permanently? It seems every time this module runs on a bootup it locks my system up and never gets anywhere...i would like maybe something to do to even delete it
3) How and what file do I modify to turn off Firewire support altogether? since it seems to cause the same problems as kudzu above, locking up and not letting go....
Also, any time I try to scan my system's hardware from inside RH, the system locks up...i don't understand why, but....im a n00b
