Phoo......problem solved......took me at least one week's time (that's what you guys call 'dumb').

Not sure if this is gonna help anyone but I'd really like to share my experience of setting up BIND 9 DNS:

1. With BIND 9 you MUST specify TTL (Time To Live) entry at the top of the zone files;

eg: $TTL 3D

2. No indenting!! As a programmer I always like indenting but finally I found that it was exactly what the problem was with my setup. It may sound dumb but it took me ages to find out!

3. In the zone files, the leading entry of the ns line should have a '@':

For example:

@ IN NS ns.mydomain.com.

4. Check whether you have commented stuffs by mistake!

Further discussion feel free to add icq: 72281817 :)

$LLT or $TTL?

(my bind install uses $TTL...) ;)
