Is Ximian free?

I installed it and haven't noticed anything during the install or in the desktop asking me to pay money. So does that mean that Ximian is free for me to use or do I just have a trial version that will time out? What's the catch?

free except for the exchange server connector afaik

most of it is (I'm assuming your asking about Ximian's XD2). The download version doesn't have the browser plugins, the commercial fonts and a year of red carpet express.
