How do I mount an audio cd?

You don't. Whatever your audio cd player program is will look for it at /dev/cdrom or whatever the dev listing is.

This was actually just asked earlier today or yesterday.

Audio CD's do not contain a filesystem, so mounting is not necessary and will not work.

Try inserting the audio CD and see if a CD player starts automatically. If not, then try to start one yourself.

So how do I copy audio files from a cd into my hard drive so I can burn them.

Just get a program like cdparanoia from freshmeat, install it, type cdparanoia --help for a list of the command-line ripping options, then put the CD in and rip away.
