I have looked everywhere and can not find out why when I upgrade the Redhat 7 kernel to 2.2.17-14 my PCMCIA doesnt work but what I real want to work is my NIC. When I go into services it says automatic but not started, but when booting it says started PCMCIA [ok].. Help I will pay money if someone can get me through this. Check, money order, pay pal.

Umm, do you have all the necessary stuff enabled in the kernel config?

I really do not know. Every thing was working befor I upgraded. I never assigned an IRQ to the NIC but it worked. Then upgraded kernel and now nothing. Can you tell me what to look for or where I can read about it.

How did you upgrade? It looks like by RPM. If so, then make sure you got the kernel-pcmcia.rpm package. Else download the source for 2.4.3 and the latest pcmcia tools.

So, if I upgrade the PCMCIA and the kernel at the same time I should be ok.. Yes I did this by rpm. Not to good at tar?

Have you checked Redhat's site to see if this problem has been reported before? You may find a solution.
