I'm at work getting 3 iso of debian... when I put them on cd and take them home, what do I do with them.

I figure I have to put them on my HD, but what then.... How can I just make install CD's from these images.

thanks

If you download the ISO, it is an image file. Use a burning program that supports the ISO file format, and put them on CDs. Then, when you bring them home, put CD1 in your CDROM drive, set your BIOS to boot from CD, and way to go.. The install program will run automagically.

Make sure you don't just put the ISO on a CD as a file though. That won't work. You have to look for something like 'Create CD from image' in your burning program and use that.

I have Adaptec Easy CD Creator. Could you walk me through the steps of burning an iso so I can install it.

Go to File, open new job. There should be an option for images, or global images.

Using this option, instead of selecting a dir or the files to put on the CD, you select the iso (image file) that will be put on your CD.

Its like using Ghost, Ghost creates and image file of your hard drive, then, those image files can be used to re-image a drive...

I hope this helped a little...

If indoubt, try using adaptec's help file and search in theindex for image...
