I was asked if i knew a internet optimizer similar to "Turbo Internet" or others that exist to M$ O.S, and i was not able to answer. I really donīt know if one really exists. Does anyone knows one app like that for Linux??

Probably the nearest thing would be some sort of cache. ie - it caches the pages and serves them up locally if the page hasn't changed the next time you look. Something like Squid should do this.

As far as i know these apps compress the headers so they can download faster. Iīve tried one or two at work and found them to be good when browsing, but in what concerns download rates nothing changes. Still i think this could be a good idea to a new project.
Have a look at prozilla, it's meant to speed up downloading.
