Java version support in Red Hat 7?

Just bought RedHat 7.0 Prof Svr edition and learned that Java 1.2.2 doesn't work and the 7.0 doesn't support 1.3. Anyone know a work around or if Red Hat 6.2 supports either?

Either version of java should work with Redhat 6.2 because it's based on glibc-2.1.3.

There are some incompatiblities with Redhat 7.0 bundled glibc-2.2 and java,try sun's page (http://java.sun.com) for more info.Hope this helps.
