Like said in the topic, my monitor, an LCD screen (apparently not energy star compliant) shuts down correctly after some idle time, like I want it to, but then reactivating the monitor doesn't work. (I tried moving the mouse, pressing a key and setting the monitor off/on.)
Therefore,I have to reboot :(.
Anyone an idea why this could be + a solution for it? Thanks.
(The graphics board is Intel i815 based).

Could be you need to adjust a BIOS setting?
I would think this especially if the hard drive is spinning down as well. I have this problem once in awhile with my Macintosh under OS 10.1. IT is a nuciance.
