Hi.
I've just coverted from Windows 98 to Redhat Linux 9, on a Gateway Solo 2500 laptop with a NeoMagic NMA 2 soundcard. Are there any drivers I can download for my particular soundcard?

[edit] What he says about the sound isn't true. You don't have to pay for it. If you're familiar with compiling your kernel, then simply enable OSS(Open Sound System) support, and OSS sound modules, and under that there will be an option for Yamaha OPL3-SA2 and SA3 sound cards. This also covers yours, which is OPL3-SAx. Build these into your kernel(select Y, not M). If you're not familiar, then now is as good a time as any. ;) If you get confused during the kernel build process, feel free to post here for clarification.

Hi Derek.
I'm a complete newbie to Linux, so I have no idea how to compile kernels etc. Any help would be appreciated.
Try reading through these - to get you started with kernels.
