I downloaded Azureus and AMSN and I just need to untar them and type ./azureus for azureus to open and ./amsn for AMSN to open but if I close the terminal the program closes too! Is there a way to have them open without having the terminal open too???

I'm using SuSE 9.0...

Thanks

well you can create an icon on the desktop that executes the command... or given that the executable is in your /home directory you can just press alt-f2 and type in the name of the program.

or you can use nohup at the command line...

nohup ./amsn

Well, here's the thing: the program is located in: file:/home/rey/Matias/Azureus/azureus and the file I need to executeis inside here and its called azureus (it's a script) so I created the icon but what should I write in the command because i tried a few things but It just opens a terminal and closes it in a sec. I tried writing the whole line in the command in the line there, and I tried the execute in terminal option but I can't get it to work.

or you can use nohup at the command line...

Thanks that works but it would be easier if I can make an icon.
