When do you get this message? Is it just that you don't have any free space on your HD's?
I have heard that LILO must be installed on the first disk, meaning that if you want to install RedHat on eg secondary master, you must create a small /boot partition on pri master.
But I'm not sure, could you be more specific?

I Get The Message When I Choose The Setup Type (Like Gnome,KDE,Server, Etc) And Click Next Thats When I Get The Error And

On The 30gig There Is 24.3Gig Free
And On The 20Gig Is A Non Used Hdd

I don't know for sure but I suspect 6.1 is subject to the 1024 cylinder rule .. and a free partiion on the 20 gig is likely far enough up that lilo can't see it.

One other point, on my Asus p5a-b mobo once I stuck the 20 gig quantum on the first ide controller I could no longer boot off the secondary controllers...
This is a bios level problem ... because of the size of the drives on the primary controller, the bios no longer can index boot records from the secondary controller. I don't know yet, but this could be a problem at the drive level .. (I have yet to try putting my old windisk on the primary controller to boot off it.)

If the problem comes from the 1024 cylinder rule, just install a small (10 Mb is enough) partition called mounted as /boot at the beginning of your primary HD (hda in Linux). You can put all the rest at the end ...

When I Was Starting Linux Setup I Saw The Hda,Hdb,Hdc,Hdd
Hda = Richo CD-R/WR
Hdb = Atapi-Cd Drive 50Max
Hdc = Pioneer DVD-Rom DVF115
Hdd = IOMEGA ZIP 100

Is That Right I Don't Think It Is

And My Bios Is
Award Modular BIOS v6.0
And Motherboard Is Asus A7V

Thank For All Of Your Help

if all you see is:
Hda,Hdb,Hdc,Hdd
Hda = Richo CD-R/WR
Hdb = Atapi-Cd Drive 50Max
Hdc = Pioneer DVD-Rom DVF115
Hdd = IOMEGA ZIP 100

i don't think it detected your harddrive. when you first bootup (with the floppy) there's a section that tells you how to pass arguments to the kernel. try spec your hd

I don't think that's right either: if your drives are ATA there's 99.9% chance they should be one of the /dev/hda,b,c or d. ('cuz that's what most -if not all- mobo's support)
It COULD be -in the other 0.01%- you have these ATA devices on a separate PCI card????

BTW...Are you familiar with this? (good read anyway) http://www.linuxnewbie.org/nhf/intel/filesys/index.html

Check to see if UDMA 100 drives are supported in Red Hat 6.1. I'm not sure they are.

If they aren't supported, then try this NHF:
http://www.linuxnewbie.org/nhf/intel/hardware/udma66.html

I've heard that it will work with UDMA 100 drives.

Or check Red Hat's website for possible solutions.

Hope this points you in the right direction.

Ehm do either of your drives have a free partiton, or are both fully used by your current OS. Also dont do a Gnome/KDE etc install, do the custom install.
