how can i set up keyboard shortcuts??

i want to be able to set keyboard shortcuts....

It all depends on what distro and window manager/desktop environment you are using on how to setup keyboard shortcuts. Under RedHat 9 using KDE 3.1.4, I can use kcontrol to setup certain shortcuts and I can use kmenuedit to setup shortcuts to applications. But, until you tell us exactly what it is that you are trying to accomplish, it is going to be difficult to help you out.
