A new problem! Kept getting the "Enter Run Level" prompt after installing twice after formatting-Tried entering 1 and various #'s-no luck=so I upgave putting Linux on my second hard drive and decided to put it on the first partition of the 3rd hard drive which is on the Primary on the ATA 66 Controller.Tried to go the easy way and let it install on it's own to the first partition- a warning window comes up about using Drakx-try to click ok- just freezes-so went back to doing Expert install -I could swear I'm doing this the same way as before-but who knows- click on the first partition of hda-click on EXT2 format then create a 15mb boot partition, then root partition, try to create a swap partition and get the following error message:
"Partitioning Failed: raw_add: partitioning table already full at /usr/bin/perl-install/partition_table.pm line644,line6"- I have no idea what's going on now.Is there A Linux FDISK/Format program or something to that effect to prime the disk to accept the Linux installation like you do for Windows? I don't see why this won't work- the install on the other disk was to a Windows partition also- I"M EXTREMELY LOST NOW! HELP! Dave

I dont' know your hardrive setup or nothing, but I'll do my best to help... See you saying something about DrankX means that you are using Mandrake right? If you are do an Expert install(it's not hard...It's Mandrake) also make sure you don't have Play&play on in your bios. If GNUB is not working then install lilo and on your MBR(Master Boot Record) not the first drive.

At the same time look over somethings in your bios on you hardrive and see what you could come up with. I'm using RedHat 7 and I build my Linux box so I'm not having them problems but if that helps let me know.
