open cdrom drive on yellow dog

hi.
i have a big problem. i installed yellowdog linux (3.0.1) on my eMac. now under linux the keyboardbutton to open the cdrom-drive doesn't work anymore. does anybody have an idea how i could pen my drive alternatively or how to enable the button?

open up a console and type "eject cdrom" , "eject /dev/cdrom" or "eject /mnt/cdrom" as to how to set that botton to do it im not possitive maybe someone else knows cause i cant get the eject hotkey to work on my ibook either
