I have Win98 se installed. I want to also install Mandrake 7.2. Will linx4win allow me to dual boot with both os's?

if you have the mandrake 7.2 cd, then defrag your HD from within windows, and then boot off the CD, use fdisk to partition your HD into 3 partitions (the third will be swap, about 20-256 megs is good) and it will conigure lilo for you... very simple... i actually did that in my sleep the other night(i'm not kidding)

with lnx4win you don't need to repartition.

I'm dual booting Mandrake 7.2 and Win 2000. It was my first time using Mandrake and my first time dual booting. I couldn't believe how easy it was compared to what I had prepared myself for based on some less user -friendly distros.

A couple of things: 1) make sure you understand partitioning in general and have an idea of how you want to set stuff up. 2) Install Windows first then Mandrake. Mandrake will setup the dual boot automatically and install GRUB which allows you to pick the OS at boot time!

Like the previous post said. Linux4win doesn't require its own partition ...
