I've spent the last couple of days trying to set up my TNT2 M64 to run 3d games under Mandrake 7.2 (2d - Xfree86 4.0.1, Gnome etc., is running fine), but the two which I've tried (GLTron and Chromium) seems to believe that a framerate of 1/4 is enough (I'm not kidding! Response time is about 4 secs., and the graphical elements move about 2 inches at a time).
So much for the default Mandrake setup.
I got rid of the Mesa/GL libs and tried once again with nVidias own drivers and a reinstall of the Mesa libs, including of course the appropriate changes to xf86config and the setting of various symbolic links in /usr/lib.
Result. About one quarter of a frame per second!
What do I do?
