ok i think this is what i need, cuz i have already got the j2sdk from sun, but what i am trying to do is get java applets to view in browser, mozilla, i am running redhat 8.0 and i am new to linux, but i ran so far what it say to on install of this file copy and stuff, but when i try to ,
ln -s ./j2re1.3.1/plugin/ppc/mozilla/javaplugin_oji.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/ ,
it tells me no such file name or directory, i have tried it like this being in j2re1.3.1 directory and then putting in ,
-s ./j2re1.3.1/plugin/ppc/mozilla/javaplugin_oji.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/, and i have tried it without the -s, and same result , am i doing something wrong, or am i just a complete moron and not doing something that i should have? also i did't have the /usr/man/ directory so i made one. this is the error i get when trying to view a java applet,
