Linux Modem installation

hey,

I am running linux mandrake 9.2 finally got it all working bar my modem. I have downloaded the src.rpm file from

www.origo2000.com/?PAGE=download

i am using the ASU-8000. Could anybody please advise me what to do next? (treat me as a total newbie)

Just a few questions about your problem:

1.What type of modem are you using?

2.Did you check for the modem on Mandrake's HCL at their site?

3.If you are using windows which COM port does windows indicate modem is installed on?

i am using the origo ASu-8000 usb modem. I have the src.rpm driver but unsure what to do with it!
